History
The breath of a Paris that still waltzes
Elevalse was founded by Maïwenn, a devoted and fervent enthusiast of the waltz.
A ballroom dancer, she chose to refine her art, and more particularly modern waltz. After taking part in the most prestigious balls of Paris and Vienna — including the famous Vienna Opera Ball as a debutante — a new passion took hold of her: transmission.
So she created the Elevalse evenings, monthly gatherings dedicated to the celebration of the waltz, along with workshops for the future waltzers of Paris and beyond.
Her ambition is to share this passion that grows in her every day: a discipline at once elegant, demanding and deeply inspiring. Through Elevalse, she seeks to reveal the magic of the waltz to as many as possible, and to convey the unique emotion it brings.
The Elevalse name was born from the meeting of three words:
•Elegance, in the way of being as much as in the way of presenting oneself.•Elevation, the kind one finds in art, in surpassing oneself and in the beauty of encounters.•And the waltz, dance of connection, movement and harmony.At Elevalse, elegance is neither a costume nor a posture, but a way of life, a way of entering the world. It is this vision that our logo and our slogan seek to embody: the harmony between demand and lightness, between tradition and the impulse of the heart; quite simply the waltz.
